Les Beardmore Memorial Golf Dat 9th July 2014

The annual Les Beardmore Memorial Golf day was held at Stanley Park Golf Club on Wednesday 9th July. Organised by Blackpool Lodge (Craft) and supported by many members of the Mark Degree from Fylde and Bispham with Norbreck Lodges of MMM, along with non Masonic Guests. This was the eighth year the trophy has been contested on a wonderful sunny July day, the golf being followed by a late afternoon lunch and prize giving.

W. Bro. Les Beardmore P.Pr.G.S.W. was an avid mason especially supporting the Mark degree and also a keen golfer, being a member of Lytham Green Drive Golf Club. He was also a past Captain and life member of the Lancashire and Cheshire Licensed Trade Golf Society who also contest a Les Beardmore Memorial Trophy.

By coincidence both events were held  at Stanley Park Golf Course in the same week, on Tuesday and Wednesday so several of the keener sportsmen Bob McGown, Stan Hill and Keith Beardmore played on both days. Stan Hill coming third in both events. Will the handicap secretary please take note!!!

The Masonic Golf day supports both Blackpool Lodge and Fylde Mark charities and last year donated toward the refurbishment of the lower Temple at Adelaide St.

The winner of the event was the son of Bro Brendan Fenton, Brendon Jnr. with 41pts.
